Dial-up
Networking under Windows 2000
Before
you use this manual....
It is assumed that your modem and Dial-Up Networking have
been installed correctly. The settings as they are given here
are specifically meant for use with SPECTRUM. Other internet
service providers may require different settings.
Take
Control Panel, click on "Dialup & Network Connection".
Double click on "Make New Connection." The Network
connection wizard will start.

Select
"Dial-up to private network" and click "Next".

Enter
the Spectrum dial-up number and click on Next.

Select
the appropriate option ("For all users" means all
network users can view the connection. Only for Myself means
only the administrator can view this account.

Select
the appropriate option from this. It should appear as shown.

Type
the name as Spectrum. If you want to have a shortcut in the
desktop click on the check box and click on Finish.

Type in your Username and password, and click on Dial.
