Networking under Windows 2000
Checking
connection settings
If you already have a dial-up connection that has been previously
created, or would like to double-check that the settings on
the one you just made are correct, then follow these steps:
Go
to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel, then double-click
on Network and Dial-up Connections. Right-click on the UNSW
Dial-up Service icon, then choose Properties.

Go
to the Options tab, and the settings should like the following:

the Security tab, put in these settings. This is currently
set up for a manual (ie post-dial terminal) login. The Win95/98
script should work with Win2K. You can try to copy it from
our CD/Floppy and specify here if you wish.

Click
on the Networking tab.

If
you are not logged in as Administrator, you may get the following
message. You will not be able to change/modify settings until
you log in with an account that has Admin privileges.
The
options in the Sharing tab should look like this:

Press
the Settings button to get the PPP settings. Ensure the settings
look like this, the press OK.
